Origin & Certification

Every piece of MaquiBeef follows the same controlled path – from raising in the Argentine Pampa to Same-Day Delivery in Vienna. This page shows in detail who inspects each stage, what evidence backs it up, and makes selected certificates directly viewable.

🐂 1. Breeding & Raising

What happens

Our beef comes from the Cuota Hilton – the EU tariff quota for high-quality Argentine beef, reserved exclusively for licensed farms. These farms must meet strict requirements for animal husbandry, feeding, and traceability before they are even approved to export under this quota. We additionally choose Black Angus as our breed – a deliberate sourcing decision for consistent meat quality, combined with 100% pasture-raising (grass-fed) with no grain finishing. Our animals mature for 22–24 months before slaughter – for pronounced flavor and optimal meat quality.

Inspected by

Approval as a Cuota Hilton farm is granted and continuously monitored by Argentina's Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca together with SENASA (National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service). Administration of the EU tariff quota itself lies with the European Commission. The choice of Black Angus as breed is MaquiBeef's own quality decision and falls outside this official certification.

🏭 2. Slaughter & Export

What happens

Slaughter takes place exclusively in a certified Frigorífico with EU export approval. Every batch is accompanied by an official veterinary certificate and a Certificate of Origin, fully documenting origin and farm.

Inspected by

On-site veterinary inspection is carried out by an official SENASA veterinarian. The farm's EU export approval is granted and regularly reviewed by the European Union itself. The Cámara Argentina de Comercio additionally certifies the trade documents.
